Baptisms

Through the sacrament of Christian baptism, we are marked by grace with the waters of life and welcomed into the circle of Christ’s church. At West Parish, we baptize all ages and will do our best to accommodate you at a Saturday or Sunday service. Email contact@westparish.org for more information.

Membership

It’s is one thing to stand on the sidelines. It is another thing altogether to jump in, roll up one’s sleeves, and enter deeply into the life and ministry of an intergenerational, multicultural community of God’s people. Will you join us? Do you dare? If interested in learning more, email contact@westparish.org for more information.

Weddings

We believe in weddings, in love, and in the brave vows of marriage! Our gorgeous 1717 Meetinghouse might be what you have been looking for. In keeping with our values of inclusivity, we welcome all: straight, gay, inter-religious, non-believers, marrying for the first time or another time around – we are happy to help you make your commitment to each other. And no, you do not need to be a church member to be married here. For more information: contact@westparish.org

Funerals and Memorial Services

We believe in marking the transition from this life to the next with abundant thanksgiving and tears; with prayers, music, words, remembering; and with God’s promise of resurrection. Here, in this family of God, hope springs eternal. Here, hope is infectious. It is our honor to hold and minister to you in this time. For more information email contact@westparish.org.

Burial in the Meetinghouse Site

Christian faith was born in a graveyard. It was at the tomb that the women of the New Testament heard the news of Jesus: He is risen! Our Meetinghouse Burial Site is a repository of urns (cremated remains), and is reserved for church members and Trustees of the 1717 Meetinghouse Foundation. Here we hold our loved ones close and can visit the site of their burial. Contact the church office contact@westparish.org for more information.

Use of Buildings

Both the Meetinghouse and Jenkins Hall are available for rental. Capacities range from 15 to 300 people, and can be used for meetings, lectures, receptions, conferences, and other functions. All our spaces are wheelchair accessible. Our location off of Route 6 makes this a central location for most of the Cape. There are separate usage fees for the spaces.
Among the various organizations that meet regularly at the church are Alcoholics Anonymous, Cape Cod Pride, the Cape Cod Camera Club and the 1717 Meetinghouse Foundation.
If you are interested in having your organization or event hosted at West Parish, please contact Susan McEwen, Church Administrator for more details at contact@westparish.org or call 508-326-4445.
